Open positions: On-Call EMS Provider, ALS Shift Supervisor, PRN ALS Shift Supervisor

On-Call Positions open:

  • On-Call Driver - To become a Driver for us, you must have a Colorado Drivers License in good standing and hold, or be willing to obtain, a BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR card. Your NF EMS Orientation Training will prepare you for this role. Joining us as a Driver can lead to becoming an EMT with funding provided.
  • On-Call EMS Provider - To join us at your level of certification requires a State of Colorado EMS provider certification. Levels accepted: EMT, EMT-IV, AEMT, EMT-I, and Paramedic.

On-Call Shifts and Pay:

  • You are able to schedule shifts to fit your schedule
  • Minimum requirement of forty-eight 12-hour shifts per year to maintain Active Status
  • You are required to respond to the station and be enroute with your partner within 10 minutes of the 911 page
  • There are stations with accomodations in Crawford, Hotchkiss and Paonia
  • Day shift: 6 am to 6 pm
  • Night shift: 6 pm to 6 am
  • Many NF EMS providers run an average of eight to sixteen 12-hours shifts per month, depending on schedule availability
  • Pay ranges from $105 to $165 per 12-hour shift depending upon your level of certification

ALS Shift Supervisor Position open:

  • Job SummaryThe Shift Supervisor ALS Provider responds to emergency calls using a NF EMS QRV to provide efficient and immediate ALS care to ill and injured patients, and may assist in patient transport to appropriate medical facilities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Respond to emergency calls within 5 minutes of paging
    • Provide ALS level care and scene management
    • Coordinate operational resources during shifts
    • Ensure proper stocking of ALS medications
    • Comply with North Fork EMS policies and procedures
    • Maintain and operate NF EMS vehicles safely
    • Complete accurate patient care reports
    • Conduct ePCR report reviews and approve reports for billing
    • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
    • Represent NF EMS professionally on and off shift

    Qualifications

    • Colorado Certified EMT-Intermediate or Paramedic
    • Current ACLS, PALS, and AHA BLS Provider CPR certifications
    • Valid Colorado Driver's License
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Basic computer skills preferred
    • Must pass a thorough background investigation and pre-employment drug test

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift, push, and maneuver up to 250 pounds with assistance
    • Work in various indoor/outdoor environments and weather conditions
    • Possible exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue

    Salary Range

    $62,616 -93,925 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications

ALS Shift Supervisor ALS PRN position 

  • Two-three 24-hour shifts per week available immediately
